PDO Mono Threads (Rejuvenating Threads)

Treatment

Support your skin infrastructure and integrity with skin rejuvenating PDO threads.

Overview

PDO Mono Threads is a useful procedure to improve skin tone & to achieve tightening in the mid to lower one-third of the face, including the neck & jawline. Threads achieve this via a process called neo-collagenesis, meaning stimulation of dermal collagen. This results in skin contraction & lifting and gives the skin a tighter feel and a younger-looking appearance.

How it works

PDO Threads are non-invasive, minimal downtime procedures with a proven safety record as they are made from suture material known as polydioxanone. This is an absorbable, biologically inert substance that dissolves over 6-8 months. During this time, polydioxanone stimulates collagen, improving the structural support of your skin. Threads placed in the adipose tissue or fat layers can also stimulate collagen in the fibro septal network, further compounding the lift.

Why we use PDO Mono Threads?

From brightening your skin to rejuvenating your overall appearance, PDO Mono Threads stimulate natural collagen and elastin within the skin. Tightening facial contours and improving loose tissue in a single session, these single smooth threads are placed beneath the epidermis to encourage cell renewal in a minimally invasive manner.

Expected result

Some swelling and bruising can be expected after this procedure as the skin is punctured and penetrated multiple times with the threads. This usually resolves within a few days to weeks depending on the individual.

Results are usually seen in 8-12 weeks. PDO Threads are made from a dissolving suture material which is reabsorbed into the body after approximately 3 months although the collagen stimulation can last up to 12 months.
