Volume and Contour

Recontour and Volumise Dermal Gel Treatments

Restore balance and volume, redefine, and recontour your natural facial features and curves with dermal gel treatments at the R clinic.

Dermal gel treatments offer convenient, non-surgical solutions to enhance the appearance of the face, neck, and hands. They minimize fine lines, wrinkles, and scars, replenish lost volume, augment natural features, and rejuvenate tired-looking skin. As we age, elastin and collagen in the face break down, and we begin losing volume, contributing to folds and wrinkles. Dermal gel treatments provide a modern solution to restore a youthful appearance, keeping our patients feeling and looking younger. Dr. Liew and his team of practitioners use advanced techniques and the highest quality materials to ensure the best results.

How it works

Dermal gel treatments emulate hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the body that binds water, lubricating and cushioning movable body parts. By replenishing the skin with this substance, dermal gel treatments instantly revitalize and add volume to the treated area, diminishing lines and wrinkles for a softer, more natural appearance. Different grades of gel are used to treat various areas of the face, such as the lips, cheeks, and under the eyes.

Why we use Dermal Fillers?

Gel treatments are a practical, non-surgical method designed to soften creases and folds, reduce the appearance of wrinkles, and increase or restore volume to the face. They support underlying structures, restore volume, shape, and lift to the face while enhancing facial contours. Gel treatments are most commonly used to:

  • Reduce cheek folds (nasolabial folds)
  • Restore volume to the cheeks
  • Minimize dark circles under the eyes (tear troughs)
  • Rejuvenate lips that have lost volume and become thinner with time
  • Correct the downturned corners of the lips (the marionette fold)
  • Smooth outlines around the lips (smoker’s lines)
  • Subtly reshape the nose to a more proportionate shape and size

At the R clinic, the selected fillers integrate seamlessly, providing a natural and soft appearance.

Expected result

At the R clinic, we take pride in our patients’ dermal gel treatment outcomes. Each treatment is tailored to the individual, with results visible immediately. However, it may take up to four weeks for the filler to fully integrate into the tissues for the final result. Our focus is on reducing wrinkles, contouring the face, creating natural-looking enhancements, and restoring volume without compromising facial expressions. A complimentary review appointment at two weeks allows for any necessary adjustments.

We will explain the treatment process in detail, along with comprehensive aftercare instructions. The procedure duration ranges from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on the specific areas being treated.

Although the treatment is typically painless and causes minimal discomfort, individual experiences can vary. Your safety and comfort are our utmost priorities throughout the procedure. Our team is committed to making your experience as smooth and comfortable as possible.

For 12 hours post-injection, refrain from using makeup. Apply a cool compress to the treatment area and avoid heat-inducing activities for 24 hours. Pressure on the area should be avoided for the first 48 hours. Additionally, abstain from alcohol and air travel for three days post-injection. What areas can we treat?

Dermal gel treatments can be administered to various facial areas, including cheeks, lips, tear troughs, chin, neck, hands, and more.

How long do results last?

Results typically last 10 to 18 months, with maintenance treatments recommended every 12 months.

Are dermal gel treatments only for women?

Dermal gel treatments are suitable for both men and women, offering subtle enhancements tailored to individual preferences.

Are dermal gels the same as collagen-stimulating injections?

Collagen stimulators offer immediate volume and smoothness like dermal gels but also stimulate collagen production for long-term rejuvenation.

Can dermal gels be removed?

Dermal gel treatments can be dissolved using hyaluronidase if necessary, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Can gel treatments replace a facelift?

Dermal gel treatments, also known as ‘liquid facelifts,’ can provide significant face shaping and lifting benefits without surgery. While they address volume loss effectively, they may not match the results of surgery for advanced aging signs.

What happens when dermal gel wear off?

Wrinkles gradually reappear as the dermal gel breaks down, but collagen stimulation may offer long-term benefits.
